The Original Art Shop is a long established and respected gallery business that first opened its doors in 1988.

The expertise and skill provided to the public over the years has established the Hanley gallery as the major supplier of art and framing services for the five historical, pottery towns of Hanley, Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, Burslem and Longton. This has been achieved by an uncompromising commitment to quality, variety and integrity of product and exceptional levels of customer care. Our retail premises in Hanley are located in the easily found Intu Potteries Shopping Centre.

Committed to further serve the North Staffordshire region our gallery at Trentham was opened in November 2005, at a fabulous new retail village, known as Trentham Village. Whilst Hanley sits at the heart of the region’s major retail area Trentham is set in a landscape of fantastically restored Italian gardens and neighbours a brand new, award winning Garden Centre only a stone’s throw from junction 15 of the M6.

In August 2012 we moved eastwards to open our third gallery in the heart of the city of Derby in the prestigious Intu Derby Shopping Centre. Here we neighbour some of the most respected and quality retailers in the country. This newly developed gallery offers many new concepts in design that guarantees the optimum artwork viewing experience.

The galleries are modern and inviting and full of exciting and ever changing displays of work from the most talented and collected artists in publication today. Many special events, including artist visits, have contributed to our popularity and success in addition to our approachable, professional and welcoming staff.

We supply an extensive range of pre-eminent artwork, including originals, limited edition giclées, silk-screens and contemporary sculpture from the country’s leading supplier of collectable and aspirational art, Washington Green.

A quality, bespoke framing service is available to all our customers. As holders of the art industry’s prestigious commended framing award, we offer skilled advice and a unique and personal design service for the framing of client’s own artwork, memorabilia, photographs, etc. Our extensive experience for the provision of artwork and framing services to the trade includes Hotels, Restaurants, Hospitals, Offices and Leisure Centres.
